Prudential’s Enterprise Data Governance and Management Organization is looking for a Sr Specialist Business Systems Analyst to join us on our journey of developing and executing upon an industry differentiating practical approach to Data Governance. Responsibilities:
· Act as a key driver in the creation, development and management of Data Governance policies and standards
· Ensure all important data within the organization is appropriately defined, classified and curated
· Develop and maintain a set of best-in-class technologies which support enterprise Data Governance
· Collaborate with partners/stakeholders (which may include a mix of both technology and business associates) in order to research and resolve data issues
· Provide subject matter expertise in the planning and execution of Data Governance activities
· Implement strategic Data Governance capabilities
· Socialize and advocate for data processes and procedures with Sr level executives
· Partner with Data Governance leader to define Data Governance rollout strategy
· Evaluate business data needs and priorities and assist in achieving them
· Drive change as needed in order to achieve Data Governance goals
· Participate in and lead Agile work events
· Embrace continuous learning and development
Qualifications:
· Must possess an undergraduate or graduate degree
· Have 5-10 years of experience working in Data Governance requiring the demonstration of an in-depth understanding of Data Governance principles and policies
· Deep proficiency within the Informatica Data Governance toolset (Axon or EDC certification a plus)
· Experience with developing data definition, classification and curation standards
· Knowledge of data domain development and refinement
· Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgement and decision-making skills
· Experience in leading or facilitating meetings with business partners and other users to document current state, gaps, problems and bring issues to resolution
· Ability to achieve results working independently or within a team setting
· Possess a strong ability to communicate to all levels within the organization (written and verbal)
· Thought leadership relating to previous experience with a Data Governance rollout
· Experience working within an Agile setting
· Excellent collaboration skills
· DAMA certification a plus
