Actuarial - ActuarialThe Enterprise Valuation-Statutory team within Enterprise Valuation & Projections is responsible for the overall process management of enterprise year-end statutory reporting & filings, and enterprise stress testing for accuracy, consistency, completeness, and appropriateness across business units. The team is seeking a Senior Actuarial Associate to help drive execution of all activities around Statutory reporting and filings to support appointed actuaries and business partners. The associate will collaborate across functional teams to complete all Statutory process and act as a first line of respondent for regulatory requests.
The candidate responsibilities include:
· Complete quarterly tasks in a timely manner including reconciliations of reserve & asset table, review of reserve trending analysis, and Rightsizing
· Collaborate across functional teams to prepare Appointed Actuary’s memoranda and Opinions/Certifications/Rep Letters/Reliance Statements/state specific supplements
· Support preparing regulatory and board filings
· Support Actuarial Oversight activities
· Perform review and reconciliation of actuarial items in annual statements
· Provide key support to enterprise consolidation and sign-off various stress testing
· Recommend and execute process improvements by leveraging tech solutions to enhance capability and efficiency
Qualifications
·3 years of actuarial valuation experience
· Experience with Statutory financial reporting is a plus
· Self-motivated, adaptable to changes, quick learning, and process improvement mindset
· Experience with O365 to support all applicable technical solutions, such as SharePoint, Teams, Power BI
· Experience with Excel, Macro, and VBA
· Strong collaboration and influence skills to partner with stakeholders
· Strong organizational and project management skills
· Attention to details when reviewing and preparing documents
The position is based in Newark, NJ with a hybrid work arrangement
