Your Team & Role 

As a Senior Platform Engineer within HR Technology you will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, engineers and delivery professionals to improve Workday and other HR Technology platforms.  You will configure, test and debug new and existing applications as you implement capabilities to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to technical expertise and experience, you will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.   

Hybrid work arrangement (minimum of 2 days/week in office) based out of our Newark, NJ location.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Able to drive and act as a Workday functional SME by guiding HR from idea to delivery 

  • Partner with assigned business areas to gain deep understanding of their processes, plans, and how technology solutions are utilized by them 

  • Employ industry best practices to deliver world-class solutions resulting in desired business outcome  

  • Partner with HR to define requirements, configure and test changes to ensure results meet business needs  

  • Partner with HR to identify, sequence, and prioritize enhancement requests in conjunction with upcoming Workday releases  

  • Partner with User Experience team on feature design 

  • Handle incident tickets and change requests in accordance with change management, change control and incident management policies, protocols and SLAs 

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and how they can be applied to Prudential 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 2 years of experience with Workday HCM or similar ERP systems with a demonstrated understanding of key HR processes  

  • Proven success with HR service delivery, evolving the customer experience, process optimization and leveraging new technology solutions 

  • Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences  

  • Must have the ability to organize and effectively provide responses and prioritize assigned tasks.  

  • Ability to work on highly cross-functional geographically distributed project teams.  

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously  

 

Preferred qualifications: 

  • Subject matter expertise and prior experience with Workday HCM in a functional configurator role  

  • Worked in Agile development environment, knowledge of Jira and other agile tools/processes  

  • Prior experience working with outsourced/3rd-party offshore developers

The salary range for this role is from $97,300.00 to $144,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
