Summary
Responsible for management of Materials Planning Data for PA plant to insure system integrity and optimum performance. Develop plant production master schedules and support finished goods, raw material and WIP inventory programs. Coordinate with Sales, Production and Purchasing to set and meet inventory turns objective and minimize surplus or obsolete inventory. Work with plant personnel to set and maintain capacity utilization, lead-time and cycle time standards. Provide support on improving production systems and other activities as necessary to achieve customer service levels. Coordinate planning, forecasting and inventory management programs to maximize overall performance to utilization, sales and service objectives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain ERP System Master Data, including material planning parameters, plant capacity and utilization levels to maximize system and resource performance
- Work with Purchasing to maintain materials lead-times used for production planning and incorporate into quotation and delivery promise processes
- Coordinate and prioritize sales orders due/promise dates and generate production and sales forecast data as needed
- Provide delivery lead-times for sales quotations and track status of “major” quotes/projects to assure capacity availability and initiate quote updates as necessary
- Work with Planning team to maintain capacity and raw and WIP material requirements, production order postings and allocations of finished goods inventory for associated inventory requirements.
- Work with the Planning team for identification and disposition of surplus and obsolete inventory
- Work with Sales, Manufacturing and Planning team to achieve sales order lead-times or allow reductions of finished goods inventory levels by Level-Load the system
- Manage Cu Rod forecast and monthly reconciliation process
- Manage Inter Company Purchasing as needed and participate in Physical Inventory process
- Participate in all plant programs established to maintain safety, cost reduction, housekeeping, customer service and employee development
Qualifications
- B.S. in Technical field – Experience in Wire & Cable Industry preferred
- 5 yrs experience
- Language Skills Excellent communication skills necessary. Must have the ability to interact with people on all levels
- Mathematical Skills, reasoning ability, and excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft products such as Excel, Access and Other MS tools
- Experience with ERP system -Manufacturing Planning Systems development and administration
