Our client, a Wisconsin based Pain management organization, is seeking a Registered Nurse for a permanent role in Sheboygan, WI. This position will also require working at their West Bend location some of the time - schedules known well in advance. The practice prides themselves in being collaborative, flexible, and constantly improving standards for employees and patients.
Position Summary
Performs in the role of Registered Nurse in the intra-procedural area, providing IV Conscious Sedation and care for the patient, completing intra-op reports, and circulating cases as necessary. Performs in the role of Registered Nurse, prepping and recovering patients prior to and after their procedures. Providing excellent care and education.
Key Responsibilities
· Adhere to policies and procedures.
· Assist in training peers as requested.
· Communicate appropriate and timely information to patients, providers, family members, and peers in a positive, team oriented, and supportive manner.
· Complete patient charting accurately, concisely, and in a timely manner.
· Comply with cost containment practices, finding ways to increase efficiencies or effectiveness.
· Educate patients.
· Handle medical record completion, utilize technology.
· Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms and medical equipment.
· Observe all safety precautions and comply with all health and safety rules and procedures of the facility.
· Participate in in-service programs, staff meetings, quality assurance monitoring, etc.
· Perform other related duties as assigned
· Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations, treatments, procedures, and collections of specimens
· Proficiency in IV Sedation and patient monitoring
· Understand intra-procedural equipment, how it works and how to operate it.
· Provide safe, therapeutic, and high-quality direct patient care to patients by utilizing the nursing process and nursing diagnosis in a timely manner. Set appropriate priorities and act as a patient advocate.
· Safely, correctly, promptly carry out physician orders, documenting all activities.
Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
License: Must hold and maintain current Wisconsin State RN license.
Experience: Three years of surgical or Pre/Post-Op nursing experience is preferred.
Certification: Must have and maintain current CPR certification. ACLS required in 90 days and BLS certification is required within one month of hire.

The physical demands represent those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Lifting up to 20 lbs. and up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
