Consumer Loan Officer

Job Summary: We are looking for a Senior Loan Officer to review, receive and analyze financial information for the purpose of making loans to our membership in a timely manner. Strong base salary with potential for additional earnings through a robust incentive program.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within approved limits
• Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
• Determine all applicable ratios and metrics that fall with the Credit Union’s policies and procedures
• Excellent communication skills to keep the applicant informed through all stages of the loan process
• Complete all phases of the loan process in a timely and efficient manner
• Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different loan scenarios
• Develop referral network, suggest alternate loan options and cross-sell products and services
• Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending guidelines
• Meet and exceed all established sales goals
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred; equivalent work experience can be considered
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a financial institution
• Proven record of meeting established sales and service goals
• Knowledge of financial products and how they work for consumer lending
• Professional demeanor includes treating all with courtesy, tact and diplomacy along with asking for the sale and closing the deal
• NMLS required
• Notary required
• Works will little supervision nd is self-driven

Job Type: Full-time/Will require floating between branch locations

Hours: Will require Saturdays with a set day off during the work week (37.50 hrs. per week)
