psi has an opening for a qualified Intervention Specialist in the Akron area. This position is currently 21 hours per week. We are seeking an Intervention Specialist to help serve children who have educational and developmental needs. The position is effective beginning in the 2022-2023 school year.

Responsibilities
Your mission as an Intervention Specialist is to deliver high-quality and dynamic instruction across educational settings while providing a fun and rewarding learning experience.
Essential Functions
- Deliver dynamic, engaging,, and enjoyable lessons to our students.
- Conduct appropriate individual evaluations of students referred.
- Continually assess students' needs and adjust intervention strategies in accordance with their progress.
- Maintain an atmosphere that is conducive to learning.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development courses, and other internal or psi led meetings.
- Effectively communicate with school administrators and other staff members regarding students, site, instruction, or any issues that impact the performance of the class.
- Develop and provide personalized IEP and ISP suggestions to enhance children's abilities across settings
Qualifications
Experience
- Working with special needs students (1 year)
License/Certification
- Intervention Specialist license issued by ODE (required)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (required)
