Overview
psi is looking for a RN School Health-FLOAT Position to support Schools on the WEST side. Currently this position is 21 hours a week. This position is 3 days a week during school hours. This position would be for the 2021-2022 school year with the opportunity to continue into next year.

Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor student health needs and provide appropriate nursing interventions and services to students by performing professional nursing duties as defined in the psi Health Resource Guide and the State Department of Health and in accordance with acceptable nursing practice guidelines
- Ensure that school health records are properly maintained
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor student behavior and reaction to the administration of medication
- Provide first aid as required and nursing interventions for medical complaints
- Complete required documentation of health services needed and provided
- Administer screenings
- Ensure immunization records are up to date for each student
- Provide and promote relationships between community health providers and students, parents, and the community at large.
- May also serve as the direct supervisor of the psi Health Services Employees
Qualifications
- Current RN license through the Ohio Board of Nursing
- Must be knowledgeable about communicable disease prevention and medication protocol
- Strong preference for school-based or pediatric experience
- Collaborative, constructive team building skills are required
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills
- Must have a current CPR certification and pass a comprehensive background check.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with students, parents, and other staff members.
- Knowledge of HIPAA laws and ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and use sound judgment in all aspects of the job
If hired, must obtain a current CPR and First Aide certification and pass a comprehensive background check (FBI/BCI check) as part of the orientation process.
