JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for Inventory and Non-Inventoried items to support Manufacturing, Engineering and R&D Operations. The position requires judgment, ingenuity, critical thinking, organization, and adherence to established policies and procedures. Also coordinates on-time delivery of goods, ability to manage projects, gather and analyze data, work in a team environment and meet deadlines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:
Work directly with a team of third-party inventory, warehouse, and logistics employees.
Manages inventory tracking system to analyze deliveries, shipments, and stock levels.
Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
Analyzes product and supply levels to highlight inventory problems and take corrective actions.
Lead a series of efforts to understand, identify, and provide suggestions on the disposition of inventory.
Communicates with inventory employees to meet business goals
Will be responsible for the policies and procedures within the warehousing and logistics functions
Will handle external audit needs as they arise
Develops business relationships with third party provider
Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency, and suggestions to upper management.
Involved with the recruitment and training of new inventory employees.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education & Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply or related field.
- Complete Specific on-the-job training towards meeting essential duties and work area performance criteria.
- Must complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix.
Skills/Experience
- 5 years of experience in similar role.
- 2 years of experience with SAP and the procurement/planning functions within
- Experience in Power Generation field preferred
- Experience working with inventory management software and forecasting strategies
- Experience conducting tracking and data analysis
- Experience leading inventory reduction initiatives/projects
- Product and inventory management certification a plus
