Job Type: Part-time

Salary:$30 to 35 per hour

Availability: M-TH and Saturday (In-person and Virtual) 2: 45pm

Location: Montgomery County Public Schools (Rockville, Maryland)

Job Duties:

• Provide instruction and guidance to students preparing for the Scholastic Assessment Test (SAT) including mathematics, evidence-based reading and writing, and optional essay writing.
• Reinforce relevant subject matter, including grammar, vocabulary, algebra, geometry, and data analysis.
• Help students improve their SAT scores by teaching test-taking strategies, reviewing subject matter, and providing support to help them achieve their academic goals.
• Create or adapt teaching materials, lesson plans, and resources to meet the needs of the students.
• Administer diagnostic tests to evaluate students' baseline knowledge track their progress provide feedback on students' performance and offer suggestions for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, English, mathematics).Strong understanding of the SAT format, content, and scoring Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, or education is highly desirable.
• Patience and the ability to work with students of diverse learning styles.
• Knowledge of educational technology and online teaching platforms is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to the needs of individual students.
• Must be able to do BOTH remote and in-person tutoring
• Has a personal vehicle

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

• What’s your availability for work and how soon can you start? (E.g. ASAP; M-F 4-8 pm)
