Psych Choices is offering a full-time receptionist position with steady hours, a consistent 3-day weekend, and 6 major holidays off annually with pay. We are looking for someone to fill a permanent position, Monday through Thursday 8 AM-5 PM. Medical and other benefits, as well as PTO, are available after 90-day probationary period completion.
Compensation:$16 hourly
Responsibilities:All tasks performed by the Receptionist are to be done while maintaining the highest level of privacy as dictated by HIPAA, including the following:
- Complete check-in procedures, including collecting payment, for clients arriving for scheduled appointments
- Schedule appointments for medication management providers' clients
- Answer phone calls and collect all pertinent information while maintaining caller confidentiality, courtesy, and professionalism
- Utilize an electronic records system (EHR) for scheduling, messaging, updating patient information, scanning secure documents, and documenting payments
- Respond to all outreach from clients and employees in a timely manner
- Administrative tasks including, but not limited to, sorting and sending faxes, processing outgoing mail and packages, keeping an updated inventory of office supplies, maintaining the tidiness and organization of common areas, and other administrative items as needed
- Maintain a courteous, respectful, yet approachable, relationship with the other administrative staff and also with the doctors and therapists who treat the clients in our practice
- 1 year of front desk receptionist experience or related job experience preferred
- Has previous experience with word processing programs and basic computer skills
- Has experience answering telephone calls and troubleshooting stressful situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organizational skills, customer service skills, and verbal communication skills
- Must have graduated high school, received a G.E.D. or equivalent
