About the business
Psychological Testing Services of Dallas (PTSD) is the private practice specializing in the differential diagnosis of psychiatric and neurocognitive disorders. Services are provided to patients with neurocognitive disorders stemming from traumatic brain injury, toxic exposure, stroke, Parkinson's, and dementia. The practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Psychotherapy focuses on treating PTSD from rape, combat, catastrophic events, assault and childhood sexual/physical abuse.
About the position
Answer phones, schedule patients and maintain front desk duties. Assist with initial outreach and assessment of patients requesting services. Research and gather materials to assist with making appropriate referrals and connecting patients with resources. Assist with outreach, consultation and education functions as needed. Participate in professional supervision and/or team meetings as necessary. Complete training as necessary. Assist with managing the clinic's social media accounts. All other duties deemed necessary for assisting operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must possess the following:
- Excellent customer service skills, as well as effective oral and written communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks independently.
- Proficiency to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data, and to prepare reports from such records.
- Good interpersonal skills and ease in relating to people from varying educational, cultural and social backgrounds.
- Responsible, reliable and punctual
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work of others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates with interest or history of completing degree in psychology preferred.
- Possess good interpersonal skills, with a background in customer service, accounting, counseling, public health, psychology, education, or personnel services
- Professional experience in a counseling setting
- Creativity and enthusiasm for educating the community on mental health issues
- Familiarity with the confidentiality as required by HIPPA and FERPA
- Experience or knowledge of crisis intervention and/or intake
