Psychological Technician

Psychology Associates of NWLA is seeking applicants for a full-time Psychological Technician.

We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, reliable, and able to work autonomously with good attention to detail. A bachelor’s degree in psychology is required.

This job entails many hours of learning and training. The applicant must be receptive to constructive criticism and be willing to give a two-year commitment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer and score psychological testing to a variety of clients including children aged 5 and up and people involved in legal cases.
• File and maintain patient files / information.
• Serve as backup administrative staff, which includes but is not limited to checking in patients, creating patient accounts, collecting payments, and answering phones.

Technician tasks include administering testing, operating software for computer scoring of psychological tests, and processing test reports, as well as assisting the psychologists in proctoring group testing.

Administrative support tasks include basic computer tasks, including using Microsoft Word and Excel, answering phones, assisting clients, scheduling clients, assisting clients with paperwork, scanning files and other administrative tasks.

People skills are a MUST, as you will be dealing with a variety of people in several different settings.

Psychology Associates of NWLA hours of operation are Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We are an established, group private practice, which serves a variety of clientele across the lifespan and various demographic categories, including individuals who are being evaluated as part of legal proceedings.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
