Job Description: Processing of high-quality oil country tubular goods (OCTG) and responsible for performing all standard operation testing per industrial standard of API, ASTM, and Liberty SOP requirements for product manufacture and testing. Relies on work instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Work responsibilities must be performed in accordance with regulatory and industrial standards, and in a timely manner with the high regard for safety and quality. Serve as the frontline agent of production and machine operation for the company’s lab department. Works under the immediate supervision of the Quality Lead.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all procedures meet API and customer guidelines
  • Responsible for precision cutting on plasma system.
  • Responsible for maintaining high pressure vessels, pumps, valves and lines.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables for collapse testing.
  • Operates the collapse tester, including all required equipment.
  • Responsible for the flattening tests, collapse tests and product sample measurements, using OD tape and micrometer.
  • Data entry of all sample measurements and collapse results.
  • Knowledge and experience with high pressure systems, including pumps, valves and fittings is preferred.
  • Proactively suggest, develop, and the advice of preventative measures.
  • Assist Quality Lead in maintaining the collapse area and functions
  • Responsible for properly marking the specimens with the required information
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education And/or Experience Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Years of Experience: 1 - 3 years of relative machining and testing experience

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Must be computer literate and able to work with programs such as Word, Excel, etc., and be able to learn and use HP programs such as e-mail, ERP system, etc.

Candidates must be able to tolerate any climate, must be flexible with shift and hours.
