Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Culture:
- Uphold and enforce our Core Values, Plays, and Cultural Inputs within the Maintenance team.
- Provide clear direction and leadership to Maintenance personnel, setting expectations, providing performance feedback, and addressing behavior as needed.
- Ensure all employees understand and meet the company's expectations.
- Training and Development:
- Conduct regular evaluations to identify training needs and develop team members.
- Collaborate with Leads to create and submit an annual training plan for the department.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance in all maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards or violations immediately.
- Regularly review and audit lockout/tag-out procedures with maintenance personnel.
- Maintenance Operations:
- Oversee the reliability of all plant equipment and structures, ensuring the department is data-driven.
- Manage the input and accuracy of equipment data in SAP and support the inspection process.
- Lead discussions with maintenance, operations, and production teams to plan and schedule maintenance activities.
- Ensure the storeroom is properly stocked with necessary spare parts and equipment.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Continuously assess and improve the maintenance work order system for accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide insights and ideas for plant equipment improvements to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve quality and energy efficiency.
- Reporting and Budgeting:
- Prepare and submit monthly reports to the General Manager.
- Coordinate and lead daily review and weekly maintenance & production meetings.
- Assist in project planning, capital allocation, and monitoring departmental expenditures.
- Support the General Manager in preparing the annual capital plan, focusing on mechanical components.
- Safety Leadership:
- Ensure the safety of personnel by being familiar with and enforcing safety rules, procedures, and policies.
- Conduct regular safety talks and observations, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Leadership:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support the team on the plant floor.
- Project Management:
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Safety Focus:
- Commitment to safety with knowledge or certification in Six Sigma, PLC Programming..
- Experience in the web-based or textile industry is a plus.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, elevated heights, dust, fumes, chemicals, hot environments, electrical equipment, and loud noise.
- Must understand and mitigate risks, follow safety rules, and wear personal protective equipment as needed.
- Noise level in the work environment is typically moderate.
