Some of the features of our comprehensive Total Rewards package include: Compensation – We support transparency, equity, and fairness in our compensation programs and provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range, based on data-driven market analysis, for each job posting. While it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range, a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role in Washington, DC (Headquarters) is $102,500 - $149,400. Team members may also be eligible for performance-based discretionary awards. Hybrid work option – Staff will be assigned to the Washington, DC (Headquarters) office. Staff can choose to live and work from anywhere within the United States but will be required to commute to their assigned office or location for occasional intentional gatherings or meetings at the frequency required by their supervisor. Travel to an assigned office or location for commuting purposes will not be considered reimbursable business travel, unless otherwise required by state law. Business travel is reimbursable in an amount not exceeding the cost to travel from the assigned office or location, unless otherwise required by state law. Well-being and family resources – Mental health and well-being resources, paid volunteer time, emergency child/adult dependent back-up care services, family-forming assistance, discounted gym memberships, employee assistance program (EAP), health advocate program, and more  Commuter benefits – Tax-free employer subsidy and pretax employee deductions Role Summary The PCAOB has a full-time, regular position for a Manager, Accounts Receivable and Correspondence in the Office of Finance at its Washington, DC (Headquarters) office. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Funding Operations, this position plays a key role in the organization’s internal and external financial reporting function. This position will manage and oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable function, enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles, and will be responsible for the supervision, development, and training of resources. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable function, including but not limited to the timely and accurate posting of cash receipts, finance charges, and write-offs as applicable. Manage the preparation of the year-end allowance for doubtful account compilation. Manage the activities of the staff issuing credit / debit memos, establishing reserves, etc.; including ERP responsibilities for the AR subledger. Support and drive technology projects related to the billing and correspondence systems and general ledger. Monitor collection reports to ascertain the status of collections and balances outstanding and reduce collection cycle times (DSO) where possible. Identify and champion opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness through system improvements and automation efforts. Develop and expand the use of analytics to analyze trends with dashboards and initiate corrective action to ensure maximum cash collection. Manage customer support and correspondence efforts, interacting with various levels of contacts outside the organization, ensuring that all queries were addressed accurately and timely. Independently oversee proper communications to issuers, brokers, dealers, and registrants. Manage and solve complex customer inquiries, including potential billing issues across the billing and collection cycle. Manage the review of journal entries and account reconciliations as they pertain to the accounts receivable and collection cycle and other areas of financial reporting as deemed necessary. Support efforts for the annual audit, as related to the accounts receivable and collection cycle. Support the financial reporting team in performing management’s assessment of internal control over financial reporting as it relates to the accounts receivable and collection cycle and develop and implement remediation plans if required. Facilitate open and effective communication among team members and cross-departments. Perform the full range of supervisory duties, including evaluating employee performance; make recommendations for appointment and promotion; hear and resolve complaints; identify development and training needs of employees; other related supervisory tasks. Qualifications Education/Technical Expertise Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Minimum of 7 years of accounting and/or financial analysis with either public company or corporate experience. Business acumen and extensive knowledge and understanding of GAAP. Ability to use and achieve improvements from leverage of a tier-one ERP system. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook applications. Understanding of the relationship of financial statements to business operations and a proactive approach to developing processes/controls/systems. Understanding of management reporting and ability to drive processes/structures to facilitate reporting. Strong organization skills and ability to perform detailed-oriented and accurate work. Ability to plan and execute work to meet quality and timeline requirements. Strong work ethic and high moral standards. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Availability to work non-standard hours and overtime, as needed, in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications CPA Certification. Knowledge of Great Plains, Workday, and TM1 budgeting software. Previous experience with Big Data, Data Warehousing, Reporting, or Business Intelligence Previous experience in data modeling and visualizations Leadership/Management Skills and Abilities Ability to drive a positive “tone at the top” of the organization and hold others accountable for doing the same.
