What are the responsibilities and job description for the IS Building Coordinator position at Publix?
- Monitor the operation of the building infrastructure components (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and security)
- Troubleshoot problems and supervise the repairs for building issues
- Solicit bids, coordinate maintenance, and supervise the workmanship of the building maintenance vendors (electrical, mechanical, fire prevention, badge access, etc.)
- Track capacity and report metrics for available office space and building mechanical and electrical usage
- Plan associate moves and assign work space
- Participate in projects related to facility operation
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience
- two (2) years’ experience supporting the inhabitants and maintenance of an office building
- experience using building or energy management systems
- familiarity with building schematics and blue print drawings
- must have an excellent attendance and punctuality record
- ability to work independently with limited direction
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- excellent judgment and problem solving skills
- demonstrated ability to manage resources and coordinate efforts of others
- ability to handle stressful situations
- must have interpersonal skills, (ability to work well with others and to be a team member)
