You will join a team of architects and engineers developing our edge platform centered around bringing a cloud native platform to facilitate modern business application development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop common services/components running at the edge
- Develop operation and management services/components to manage thousands of locations and applications
- Develop proof-of-concepts
- Learn new technologies with a focus on cloud native
- Develop unit tests and perform functional testing of solutions
- Develop technical documentation
- Work with application teams to adopt the edge platform
- Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years? experience designing, developing, and supporting applications
- Minimum of 5 years? experience with .NET, Java, Go or Python
- Minimum of 3 years? experience with relational database technologies such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL
- Minimum of 3 years? experience analyzing requirements and developing technology solutions
- Minimum of 3 years? experience in application development with Kubernetes, Containers and other cloud-native technologies
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to work concurrently on multiple assignments
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) Certification
- Experience extending the Kubernetes API and/or extending the capabilities of Kubernetes (CRDs, custom operators)
- Experience with event driven application development
- Experience with microservice application development
- Experience with authoring applications using the 12-factor methodology.
- Experience with authoring applications incorporating observability functionality; metrics, logging, and tracing
- Experience authoring reusable, common services that were widely adopted.
- Experience with authentication and authorization concepts (OAuth, OpenID)
- Experience with public cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
- Contributions to open-source projects
