What are the responsibilities and job description for the Slot Attendant position at Pueblo of Pojoaque?
JOB PURPOSE: Provide quality customer service, and protect casino assets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Count in/out bank with another floor attendant or supervisor.
- Pay all jackpots and hand pays.
- Perform change duties.
- Perform minor maintenance on machines.
- Report suspicious play.
- Other duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Friendly personality.
- Knowledge of slot machine winning combinations for jackpots, selected codes for hopper fills, coin jams, and tilts.
- Knowledge and ability to spot suspicious play.
- Skill in communicating with others.
- Skill in handling money, giving change, balancing change banks, and performing change audits.
- Ability to handle a variety of customer requests and personalities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- General understanding of gaming operations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Standing/Walking-100%
- Prolonged exposure to cigarette smoke and noise.
- Required to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Casino setting.
- Required shift work.
