TITLE: Purchasing Agent
REPORTS TO: CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
JOB DUTIES / GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
Supervises the daily activities of the purchasing function. Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of the group.
Familiar with a variety of the HVAC field’s concepts, practices and procedures.
Reviews purchasing decisions, orders and vendor contracts.
Manage existing inventory ensuring complete accountability of all supplies/equipment.
Coordinate the issue and return of job specific supplies/equipment.
Focal point for all purchases of equipment/supplies.
Track and maintain records on all equipment warranty items.
Reconcile purchase orders with actual bills ensuring 100% accuracy.
Provide vital purchasing information to other departments/management to ensure jobs are completed on time, within budget, and within customer expectations.
Provide frequent updates to project/field managers regarding the status of pending orders.
Skills/Qualifications:
Five to ten years of experience in HVAC or plumbing purchasing.
High energy level.
Consummate team player, work closely with other divisions within the company.
Exceptional communicator with customers and company personnel.
Consummate professional.
