Pulmonary and Critical Care Consultants, Inc. is currently looking for a medical assistant. This is a full-time position working out of our three offices at Miami Valley South 2300 Miami Valley Drive Centerville, Ohio, our main location in the InterMed Building at 1520 S. Main St. Dayton, Ohio and our third location at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. We practice pulmonary and sleep medicine in our offices so both specialties would be an expectation for our candidate to learn. Our full-time status is a 4 day work week with a usually consistent day off each week unless there is a need to juggle schedules due to vacation or other issues that may come up. We are open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm without weekend or (the usual six) holiday work expectations. We are a private practice and we are not owned by any hospital system although we are closely aligned with Premier on a day to day basis.

In our practice we employ nurses as well as medical assistants. Both share responsibilities depending on each’s scope of practice limitations to assist the provider in the care of our patients. We do spirometry and six minute walks as well as chest x-rays in the office. We employ a Respiratory Therapists and Radiographic Technologist. We utilize eClinical Works as our Electronic Medical Record and we have access to EPIC with Premier.

Responsibilities:

-Room patients, get vitals, input into chart

-Spirometry

-Exercise oximetries

-Set up and download sleep studies

-Faxing of orders and clinical notes

-Moving patients if there is a schedule change

-Precert

Skills:
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs

- Strong patient service skills

- Work well as a team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
