POSITION SUMMARY: The Sr. Director for Pulsafeeder, Punta Gorda location, is responsible for leading, coordinating and implementing the strategic plan for growth to achieve 1 and 3-year goals. This includes Commercial and Operational strategy and has influence with New Product Development, Product Management and Marketing strategy for our Standard Products. The Sr. Director must be a strong Servant Leader and have an innate ability to build teams and an engaging culture while delivering results to the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in addition to the 3-Year Strategic plan. This position will have overall P&L responsibility for Sales and Operations and will be responsible for the execution activities at the Punta Gorda location while equally operating in a Matrix Organization with dotted influence to EHS, New Product Development, Product Management and Sourcing for Pulsafeeder Standard Product Division, reporting to the General Manager, Pulsafeeder. The Sr. Director will be responsible for driving the Standard Product growth strategy, growth mind-set culture and a scalable operations to support strategic growth plans. This position has primary responsibility for leading the Pulsafeeder business in Punta Gorda, FL, while also actively participating as a Senior Leader Team (SLT) member of the Global Pulsafeeder Team. The Pulsafeeder Sr. Director is responsible in creating a strong servant leader culture of engagement and accountability (in-line with “One Pulsafeeder”), driving for operational excellence and financial performance, while simultaneously working in collaborative partnerships across the global leadership team to leverage technological capabilities and the diverse manufacturing footprint to overserve our customers The Sr. Director will accomplish these objectives by directing a highly engaged and high performing team supporting business priorities while sustaining key operational performance indicators. Primary expectations of the role will be to drive growth (both Commercially and Operationally), meet and achieve AOP targets, be an 8020 champion and build great teams and culture. REPORTS TO: General Manager, Pulsafeeder ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Demonstrate and model Servant Leadership to drive strategic initiatives, build a winning and engaged culture and lead by example through training, directing, coaching, and mentoring. View Commercial, Operations and the Business through an 8020 lens to identify critical few items to unlock profitable growth and redeploy resources to the biggest bets. Direct leaders of Commercial, Operations, Quality and Compliance in their development and performance. Work cross-functionally within a matrixed environment to provide on-site leadership to all Punta Gorda based teams, and collaborate with Sourcing, Product Management, Marketing and New Product Development to leverage best practices with a focus on aligning the operational strategy to support business priorities. Work closely with Finance, HR and GM to drive Annual Operating Plan (AOP) targets for Site to roll up to Pulsafeeder; includes overseeing departmental budgets, expenditures and Capital deployment; review financial statements, cost standards, sales or activity reports, or other performance data, owner of Monthly/Quarterly Forecast Ability to evaluate and recommend strategic direction for Standard Product in the market and execute 3-year strategy Ability to operate in a Matrix organization, communicate effectively and align teams to drive results Drive Productivity and CI Funnel Drive to achieve 3-5% annual cost savings (productivity and sourcing) and drive improvements in production quality, operating cost reduction, and manufacturing lead times through Director of Operations Utilize and be proficient in RCCM (Root Cause Counter Measures) analysis (5 why’s) Accountable for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) policy and execution. Ownership for site contingency plans (design and execution) with Director of Operations. Ability to scale Operations for growth and/or integration of other sister company product lines. Determine resource needs and ensure talent is in place to deliver on strategy (right people/right roles). Ensure employees have the tools and resources necessary to create a positive experience for internal and external customers.
