Punahou School is recruiting on call Administrative Assistants to join the substitute clerical pool. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to department management and/or staff. The Administrative Assistant's primary duties include, but are not limited to:
- Answers phones, takes messages, screens calls, responds to emails and greets visitors (internal and/or external). Responsible for ensuring that appropriate parties are alerted concerning any issues of significance.
- Responsible for general clerical duties including, but not limited to, managing paperwork, maintaining files and records, handling department mail, data entry, word processing, and making copies.
- Composes and/or responds to routine correspondences.
- Coordinates and schedules meetings for the department.
Administrative Assistants in the substitute clerical pool will be contacted as staffing needs arise across the campus. Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Hours may vary based on operational needs
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
- Two (2) years of administrative experience.
- Experience working in a school environment is preferred.
- Proficiency with using Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Webex, Microsoft Teams. Working knowledge of relational databases and student information systems.
- Must have flexible thinking and problem solving skills.
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
