Electrical Engineer

Pura is seeking a full time, detail oriented, reliable, electrical hardware engineer to join our team. Primary responsibilities include PCB design and layout, creating board specification, circuit characterization, writing test procedure, and working with CMs and supply chain.  Our designs include, but are not limited to:

• AC/DC offline switching power supplies, both isolated and non isolated. Supplies are low voltage <12V, low wattage <10W.

• Chip down designs of NFC readers, BLE, WiFi and supporting peripherals. 

• PWM, I2C, accelerometers, LEDs, PID control, ADC, temperature sensor, etc.

• RF Design: NFC, BLE, and WiFi.

• On-board serial interfaces: I2C, SPI,UART, etc.

• USB interface (serial port).  

• Lipo Battery management, charging, fuel gauge and safety

• Low voltage power supplies, both linear and switching AC/DC and DC/DC. 

• Working  with testing and compliance agencies: FCC, UL, ETL, CE, RoHS

The ideal candidate would be self-motivated, a self-starter, and able to work individually and in a multi-team collaborative environment. They would  have great communications skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to a broad audience.  Willingness to accept and give constructive criticism a must.  

Requirements:

• Understanding of design of hardware and firmware of embedded systems.
  • Working knowledge of Altium Designer a plus
  • Embedded C/C experience a plus
• 3 years experience or a demonstrable ability to design electronic hardware.
• PCB design layout experience.
  • Schematic capture
  • PCB Layout
  • DFM, and design for compliance
  • Produce Fabrications files: Gerbers, NC-Drill, BoM, Pick and Place etc. 
• Experience designing circuits with WiFi and BLE prefabricated modules.
• Chip down RF design, specifically for WiFi, NFC, and BLE a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
• Great interpersonal skills, good at collaboration. 
• Passion for electronics, problem solving and excellence.
