JOB SUMMARY:
- Technicians provide route-based service to customers and are responsible for fulfilling a daily production schedule, operating under limited supervision, arriving to customers in a timely basis, explaining the scope of services that will be provided, controlling insects, rodents and other pests involving application of professional products and tactics. Conducts home and property inspections by identifying potential and actual pest problems, remove unwanted pests, and offer detailed plans on how to effectively treat infestation areas and design further control strategies such as Integrated Pest Management.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Maintain service schedules for all customers for assigned route, calling customer prior to service.
- Inspect and troubleshoot pest infestations as needed to employ sound pest control strategies to maintain a pest-controlled environment for customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers prior to, during and after service delivery to assess and meet their needs.
- Apply products in accordance with the label, including use of proper uniform and PPE.
- Continuously monitor pest infestation areas and pest application methods (i.e., baits, traps, etc.) after application and communicate progress to customers and operation managers.
- Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to constantly improve upon skill level.
- Complete and submit service-related paperwork in a timely and orderly fashion.
- Maintain assigned service vehicle, equipment, and tools in clean/good working condition.
- Adhere and abide to all driving laws/company policies when operating company vehicles.
- Responsible for data integrity in software systems used by the organization.
- Turn in a minimum of 10 qualified Tech leads each month
- Assist in termite bait station checks.
- Participate in collections efforts.
- Additional projects as assigned.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE MOST SUCCESSFUL:
- Complete a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver license and be 18 years of age.
- Position requires successful completion of initial training and, where applicable, successfully obtaining license/certification. Any associated CEU criteria must be met to maintain active license/certification.
- Must have the ability to walk, climb, stoop, reach, crawl, crouch, kneel, push, pull and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
- Ability to calculate basic math.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication, with emphasis during telephone calls, follow-ups, and in-person correspondence.
- Working in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Interpret an extensive variety of information and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
- Read and understand product/PPE labels accurately to ensure that they are properly applied, stored, and disposed of in compliance with State and Federal laws.
- Establish strong internal and external relationships.
- Work with limited supervision and complete all scheduled productions stops.
- Ability to work extended hours/weekends as needed.
