Associate Director of Sports Medicine

Job Summary

The Associate Director of Sports Medicine will work with the Senior Associate Athletics Director- Performance & Sports Medicine and team physicians with the delivery of athletic health care for ‎intercollegiate athletes specifically with our Football Program. Additional duties will include but are not limited to:

• Providing service care given of emergency needs of student-athletes
• Providing immediate Rx rehabilitation for patients
• Providing supervision of returning student-athlete to athletic activity
• Providing appropriate documentation of care
• Executing administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine
• Maintaining appropriate medical records for student-athletes health care
• Supervising athletic training curriculum students as assigned
• Addressing other related health care problems as assigned by the Director of Sports Medicine and/or supervising team physician

What We're Looking For:

• Master's degree from CAAHEP accredited athletic training education program
• 4 years of experience in Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy and/or Athletic Training
• NATA-BOC certification and Indiana Athletic Training License, Indiana Physical Therapy License if employee has Physical Therapy Degree
• Must adhere to and comply with Purdue University, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA applicable rules policies, procedures, rules and regulations
• Travel
