What are the responsibilities and job description for the Career Services Consultant, Purdue Indianapolis position at Purdue University?
The Career Services Consultant will implement an employer development initiative supporting Purdue – Indianapolis students’ internship obtainment. There will also be a need to coordinate on-campus recruiting activities and other recruitment channels involving a broad range of employers, ranging from traditional corporate internships to opportunities in start-ups, government-based agencies, and not-for-profit organizations. Advises students regarding a variety of career development and job search concerns. Develops and coordinates student programming while demonstrating a commitment to diversity and inclusion through service delivery to students representing diverse, underrepresented populations and supporting employers through their DEIB recruitment efforts.

What is needed:
- Bachelor’s degree in advising, counseling, education, recruitment, employer engagement, administration, human resources, or a related field
- Two years of experience in advising, counseling, education, recruitment, employer engagement, administration, or related field
- Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, counseling, and organizational skills
- Computer and online systems proficient. Must be able to balance varied tasks, meet deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to represent the Center and Purdue University well to internal and external contacts
- Technical competency in analyzing and presenting data
What we would like:
