Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our MedSpa team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing patient care and assisting our providers in an aesthetic spa settings. This is a part-time position fixed with a current work schedule of Monday 10-7:30 and Friday 10-4. Additional hours will be considered as the practice needs grow.
Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient charts, taking and organizing before/after photos, product/supply stocking, and other duties as needed.
- Assist providers with patient treatment plans and procedures. (Ask about skincare routine, Ask about treatment goals, InBody Scan, Body Measurements, Preparing Neurotoxin & Filler, Prepping patient for procedures, and other duties as needed.)
- Take and record vital signs, i.e including blood pressure.
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Close down and clean treatment room to ensure it is ready for the next day of services.
- Collect patient medical history and update patient charting.
- Provide patient education on medication instructions, treatment plans, and post care options.
- Assist with medical procedures such as prepping injections, specimen collection, lab pickups, other duties as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule follow-up appointments
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Phlebotomy certificatoin a plus
- Proficient in aesthetic service terminology a plus!
- Knowledge of medical weightloss and aesthetics a plus!
- Experience working with medical weightloss, nutrition or fitness program a plus!
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with patients, providers, and administrative staff.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
