Principal Security Architect - PKI and Cryptography

The Principal Architect for PKI and Cryptography will lead a team to design, deploy, configure, and implement internal and cloud-based PKI and Cryptography solutions. Strong and demonstratable experience working with security solutions across Azure and AWS is a must, as is the ability to work with executive leadership at a strategic level to define and garner support for roadmap and objectives.

Work Arrangement: 1099 Contract Role

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design, configure and deploy PKI and Format Preserving Encryption solutions for enterprise environments according to application and customer requirements, industry best practices and latest security standards
• Responsible for recommending new PKI (ADCS, Venafi) and Cryptographic services (Voltage) and subsequent implementation, ensuring minimum disruption and impact to the business
• Follow approved life cycle methodologies, create documentation for design and testing
• Interact/coordinate with customers as required
• Provide technical oversight and direction to mid-level and junior Engineers and build their skills with Saviynt technology and IdAM in general
• Assist operations team as required, coordinate with the enterprise architecture team
• Resolve technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation
• Preparation and updating of service-related architecture and design documentation
• Generating service-related Proof of Concepts (PoC)
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to colleagues in designated area of expertise
• Provide project support, technical consultancy and implementation planning
• Promote and actively research the PKI, Encryption and Tokenization technology space, identifying technologies and products consistent with global standards that can provide commercial and security benefit to the organization

Skills and Requirements:

• 10 years of combined industry experience in Systems Engineering-related fields
• 7 years of experience in the field of System Administration, Security, Encryption or Tokenization in on prem and cloud platforms
• 3 years of experience designing solutions in a cloud platform environment
• Demonstrable experience working with executive leadership defining and gaining support for security strategy and roadmap
• Thorough knowledge of Windows Server, AD, ADCS, Certificate Services, Encryption Services, HSM’s
• Experience with various forms of Cryptography (Symmetric/Asymmetric encryption and Digital Signatures)
• Strong knowledge in Public Key Infrastructure area, Digital Certificates, Certification Authorities
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Key Management system and its integration with technology platforms (e.g. Databases, VMs, applications)
• Scripting/Programming (PowerShell, Python) is a plus
• Azure Cloud experience / AWS Cloud experience is a plus
