Status: PART-TIME

Reports to: Lead Dispensary Staff & Assistant General Manager
Position Summary
Stellar customer service and compassionate customer care is the order of the day for Floor Advisor staff. Efficient and accurate transactions along with a positive customer experience are the primary goals of Pure Tonic. The floor advisor staff is the heartbeat of the dispensary, so the floor advising staff should strive for superb listening skills, display a high level of professionalism, and be flexible. Floor advising staff provides knowledgeable guidance while educating customers about Pure Tonic services and products.
It’s imperative for floor advisors to provide the best educated recommendation possible when interacting with customers.
The expectation is that all floor advising staff are trained and can operate in the several critical phases of primary dispensary operations. These include customer intake and front desk duties, sales floor presence, teller and express windows, along with curbside fulfillment. Floor advising staff should be flexible and willing to assist other dispensary functions that are experiencing a heavy workload at any given time.
Core Duties – The duties of the Floor Advisor include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily Operations:
- Staff will be responsible for conducting several operational duties according to their assigned shift.
- Must be versed in guest intake, sales floor presence and point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
- Handle Customer Service issues as needed.
- Operating POS, cash drawers, and registers.
- Notifying Leads when change for registers are running low or when till counts are high.
- Maintain a clean and presentable sales floor in addition to the overall cleanliness of the Dispensary.
- Assist in preparing sales floor orders, express orders, online orders, and curbside orders.
- Assist with front desk and customer intake duties.
Customer Service:
- Help to maintain the efficient workflow of customers and order fulfillment.
- Provide a warm welcome for all. Escort customers around the dispensary as needed.
- Administer sales transactions while educating customers on product options, methods of ingestion, various strains and other cannabis specific knowledge.
- Validate customer info and availability in the METRC database.
- Accurately record customer data from all sales.
- Provide informed recommendations and education about cannabis, edibles, cannabis-infused products, and test results to all customers.
- Record all customers notes in the POS and inventory control system.
On-Going:
- Keep up-to-date with training and personal education as required by state and local regulations.
- Attend and participate in shift change briefings and company meetings, suggest ideas and solutions for improving the customer experience as well as the employee experience.
- Uphold a culture of communication, encouragement, and positive support for peers, management, and customers.
- Readily locate or have on-hand current test results for all products.
Physical Requirements
As Floor Advisor Staff, you will be required to stand for long periods of time, moving about in confined spaces, bend, stretch, and reach. Some heavy lifting is required from time to time. Must be able to perform basic office work; filing, organizing, printing. Must also be able to perform basic computing skills and Point-of-Sale duties.
Qualifications
Minimum high school education with 1-2 years customer service experience preferably in a retail setting. Floor Advising Staff must possess an acute sense of awareness for reading customers, listening to their needs, and presenting the right products. Having sales experience is important but not required. Compassion for customers and confidence in the cannabis knowledge base are key attributes that qualified candidates must have.
A willingness to learn, the grit to adapt to an ever-changing environment, proficient on Windows, Mac, and Google platforms, are also ideal for Floor Advising Staff candidates.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must have a valid Nevada Cannabis Agent Card and always have the card on his or her person while performing any business-related activities for Pure Tonic. **All fees associated with obtaining an Agent Card is the responsibility of the employee**
Must have a valid driver’s license and provide fingerprints for background check for agent card to be considered. May not have an excludable felony conviction or drug related offense according to CCB regulations.
Must have reliable transportation for travel to and from work.
Must be knowledgeable and be able to provide information on cannabis and cannabis related products.
Authority
Operates with direct supervision from Lead Dispensary Staff or the Assistant General Manager, depending on the shift duties. Follows established policies and procedures and contributes to the development of new concepts, policies, and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks.
