This is a remote position, with the option of onsite work if the candidate is located in Greenville, SC.
Purity Coffee is looking for a Content & Direct Marketing Manager who is responsible for managing the creation and distribution of engaging content that will enable Purity Coffee to create a coffee and health movement and strengthen its relationships with target audiences.
This role will map out and lead the creation of written, video and other content and oversee delivery of that content through email, text, social media, traditional mail and other forms of direct communication.
Job Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
- Develop content strategy and direct marketing plan to grow coffee & health community and sales
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive content/editorial calendar
- Participate in quarterly strategic planning sessions to set objectives and key results for the Marketing department and Direct Marketing function
List Management & Segmentation:
- Develop a deep understanding of Purity’s target audience segments
- Grow email, SMS and other direct marketing lists
- Segment direct marketing lists using dimensions that enable improved targeting and response rates
Content Development:
- Write blog articles and other original written content and marketing materials
- Participate in book writing and editing as required
- Commission blog articles and other original written content
- Proofread, edit and improve upon written content produced by others and ensure consistency of brand voice
- Structure and format content using SEO best practices
- Work with other content creators to produce video, photo and other content for website, YouTube and social media accounts
- Stay up-to-date with market developments and generate new ideas to draw positive attention
Content Distribution:
- Manage newsletter and other email content distribution
- Manage SMS content and communications
- Publish new blogs and pages on website
- Assist with book marketing
- Perform end-to-end quality checks, ensuring content accuracy, functioning links/landing pages etc
- Coordinate with affiliate manager and external publishers to facilitate collaborative guest posting opportunities
- Coordinate with Social Media Manager to post content to social media channels
- Coordinate with CMO and external agencies to deliver content to target audiences via other channels as required
Analytics:
- Analyze website traffic to site pages and user engagement metrics
- Apply data to inform adjustments to subject lines, preview text, copy, and creative
- Measure and report upon direct marketing campaign success
- Manage the testing framework and feedback loop to continuously learn from our email creative and messaging efforts for both broadcast and automated campaigns
- Conduct ad hoc and ongoing analyses on content and direct marketing strategies of competitors
Departmental Management:
- Participate in weekly Marketing meetings to identify, discuss and solve key issues
- Complete weekly Check-In reports and 1-on-1s with CMO

Education & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in content management and/or executing email marketing campaigns
- Proficiency with drag and drop email editors and managing templates
- Web/graphic design skills will be helpful (HTML & CSS)
- Experience with SMS marketing platforms preferred but not required
