Compensation The compensation target range for this role is: $133,000 - $140,000 Job Summary Position Summary The Manager - Supply Planning will be responsible for managing all resources both directly and indirectly to drive the supply planning capabilities for Purple Operations. This includes day to day operational planning activities as well as implementation of supply planning global standards for talent, processes, analytics, training, and systems to drive breakthrough performance improvement in safety, service, inventory, and costs. This position will report to the VP/Director Planning. Job Description Essential Duties and Responsibilities Planning Owns the supply planning processes and central planning organization and creates an environment in which employees can work safely. Accountable for creating supply plans to ensure benchmark performance on 4 key metrics high levels of service (DIFOT), minimizing asset utilization (inventory), minimizing scrap and obsolescence, optimizing cost of goods via sourcing choices. Accountable as functional owner for planning excellence with ownership of the standards for 3 key capabilities: Supply Planning Capacity Management Finite Scheduling Accountable to deploy systems capabilities in line with organizational programs. E.g. deployment of the supply planning capabilities of an MRP system. Accountable for design and maintenance of robust master data capabilities to support the supply channing capabilities. Conceptualizes and implements planning capabilities in line with external benchmarks of excellence and internal budgetary constraints. Manages the plant supply planning organizations indirectly General Grows a culture of continuous improvement and transformation through the implementation of lean practices and creating a culture where all associates are fully engaged. Monitors external benchmarks and participates in an appropriate OGSP to deliver breakthrough improvements in the organization’s performance and capabilities. Works collaboratively across the organization to deliver all accountabilities Builds a strong team both in terms of direct reports and functionally aligned associates and is a talent incubator for the broader organization Builds and maintains clear communication and close co-operations with all relevant internal and external interfaces Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies Required skills, education, and experience Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, science or related field Track record of career growth through promotions Ability to recruit, retain, and develop talent Demonstrated record of building and developing strong collaborative teams. Ability to conceptualize and implement transformation Knowledge of financial measurements of manufacturing and company performance Strong business, quality, and financial acumen Demonstrated ability to operated in a matrixed or indirect environment. Ability to manage cross-functional teams Ability to build strong, informal peer relationships throughout the organization Strategic thinking skills- integrating business strategy with operations strategies Relevant experience in supply chain leadership positions, with differentiated functional experience in supply chain planning and procurement.
