Lead Kennel Assistant

Hiring Lead Kennel Assistant. Must have prior kennel experience for this role. experience. This position earns $12-$13 hourly wage determined by experience. Tip sharing program for Kennel and significant tips can be earned as Bather. Bathing experience with clippers (i.e. sanitary trims) is a major plus but not required.

We are open 7am-7pm, although shifts range from 4-12 hours

• Must have reliable transportation. Availability required on weekends and holidays **.

• Must be able to work on your feet for long periods of time and able to lift 50 lbs.
• Customer Service Skills and Punctuality are essential to this position

Pet Sitting is NOT equivalent experience for this role. You will NOT be playing with dogs all day. This is a physical role sometimes requiring long days.
Responsibilities include cleaning (30%), bathing (30%), administrative (5%), and supervising dogs (35%).

Core Duties
-Manage and maintain a safe, clean, calm, and fun playroom

-Address dog behavioral issues proactively through your understanding of dog language & behavior -Use redirection, recall, and basic training methods, but will NEVER include using physical force or punishment of a dog. We have zero-tolerance for the mistreatment of dogs

-Continually monitor playroom and spot cleaning ( picking up feces and mopping up urine )

-Handle daily cleaning assignments including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, taking out the trash, sanitizing rooms, scrubbing kennels, beds and toys

-Administrative Tasks · Answering phone, making appointments, front desk relations, calling veterinarians for vaccination records, checking guests in/out

-Demonstrates reliability and maintains impeccable time and attendance standards

-Multi-tasking is daily requirement to serve customers and dogs with the utmost care

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $11.00 - $13.00/hour.
