What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Counselng for Kids in Foster Care-LPC, LCSW, or LP position at Pursuit of Happiness?
Pursuit of Happiness is a counseling organization looking for counselors and psychologists to provide mental health services for children in the foster care and adoption system. Qualified applicants must be able to provide their own transportation, have a full LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LP license (sorry, no interns/associates), carry liability insurance, and have a passion for helping kids.
We are currently hiring for in-home counselors so please indicate the area that you live so that we can get an idea of the area that you would be able to cover for in home counseling services.
You can expect to be paid well. Just 15 kids will have you on track to make over $60k per year. A 25 patient caseload is over $100k. We have a couple of counselors who grind to the tune of over $200k per year. We love paying for your hard work!
Candidates MUST have experience working with children and be comfortable seeing a wide age range of kids (3 and up). Kids in foster care can be any age so this flexibility is required.
Our systems are on the cloud, eliminating the need for papers. You will not be responsible for a billing log or any other paperwork other than your notes. We are a very counselor centric organization that tries to make things as easy as possible for our therapists so that they can do what they love, seeing patients! We look forward to hearing from you.
