Service Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our automotive service department. This includes managing a team of service technicians, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining efficient workflow.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team of service technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure efficient workflow in the service department, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime
- Schedule and assign work orders to service technicians, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and customer needs
- Monitor the progress of work orders, ensuring timely completion and quality repairs
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships
- Collaborate with the sales department to promote additional services and upsell customers on necessary repairs
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules, ensuring compliance with manufacturer recommendations
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for service technicians, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement

Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of medium-heavy duty truck diagnostics and repair processes
- Experience in Truck service management
- Familiarity with diesel engine repair and maintenance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks
- Proficient in service writing and documentation
- Knowledge of brake repair procedures and safety standards
- Strong problem-solving abilities to address customer concerns

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
