Job Summary
As a Belt Technician with CapCorp, you will perform a variety of duties within the shop, in the field, and at customer locations centered around installing, repairing, and replacing conveyor belts. This role allows you to learn a new trade and start a new career where your professional advancement is in your hands. You will report to the lead Belt Technician perform the following duties listed below but not limited to:
- Execute duties related to a variety of shop work
- Loading/Unloading equipment for field service work
- Fabricating specialty conveyor belt and components
- Learn basic rigging
- Commit to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas
- Completes all required paperwork (time sheets, service orders, forms, inventory, expense reports, purchase card, and equipment related items)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid Driver’s License
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to lift 50 plus pounds often
- Ability to work in tight spaces or at heights for an extended period
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
- Ability to work a variety of schedules: overtime, on-call, nightshift, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and have a clean driving record
- Math skills and ability to utilize a tape measure
