PURVIS Systems has an immediate opening for a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to support a navy torpedo program.

The day-to-day responsibilities of this role include:
  • Perform Administrative Functions for the Government Configuration Management System (CMPRO), including but not limited to User Account Management/Setup, Workflow Administration, and Business Rules maintenance. Will attend training when necessary to support these functions.
  • Primary point of Contact for all CMPro application questions and issues for NUWC divisions Newport and Keyport users supporting the HWT and LWT Torpedo programs.
  • Support Client in day-to-day activities requiring CM support.
  • Be involved in client's designated Lean/CPI efforts related to Configuration Management tasking.
  • Update/develop documentation relating to client's standard processes.
  • User will be tasked with handling/accepting technical data package (TDP) baselines for both developmental/conceptual systems as well as production/fielded systems. Baselines will be distributed to appropriate parties as designated by program requirements.
  • Understanding of PDM drawing control environment or previous experience with SolidWorks PDM, Windchill environments.
  • Manage Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) requests through CMPRO that support the Heavyweight (HWT) and Lightweight (LWT) torpedo programs
  • Familiar with programming, mainly VBA or SQL to support and enhance engineering workflow processes and to develop key metrics for process reporting.
  • Provide Navy expertise in selecting and implementing next generation CM toolset.


Qualifications
  • Previous experience with PDM drawing control (Solidworks PDM, Windchill)
  • Familiar with Drawing Data Formats (Solidworks, Mentor, CAD)
  • Familiarity with SQL database structures and running reports using SQL code
  • Familiar with Mechanical Design & Tolerancing on Engineering Drawings
  • Strong Communication skills to aid cross-functional work/training between Government and Contractor Teams
  • Previous work with Technical Data Management, understand relationships of data structures
  • Familiar with NAVSEA/NUWC Contracts formats
  • Familiar with EIA-649 and ASME 14.100 standards as well as Configuration Management related contract DIDs.
  • Expertise using Excel VBA, or SQL programming
  • Detail-oriented

Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
