What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Lineman position at PUSH, Inc.?
The Journeyman Lineman builds and maintains electrical power systems and various voltages and works from the point of generation (power plants) all the way to the customer's meter, which can consist of overhead and underground facilities. This position is the highest of a multi-step progression from Apprentice Lineman to Journeyman and are expected to know all aspects of Journeyman duties for the company.

Physical and Environmental Factors:
- Ability to work outdoors and to work in all types of outdoor weather.
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, carry, and lift as needed.
- Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, feet, and limbs in performing skilled movement.
- Ability to travel to distant locations for projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Planning and initiating projects.
- Interaction with customers, utility owners and governmental officials.
- Establishing and conforming to OSHA and customer safety requirements.
- Assist in the construction of new overhead and underground services and service upgrades.
- Working with energized equipment and conductors.
- Installing and maintaining transformers and other equipment.
- Supervising grounds men and apprentices.
- Construction and maintenance of substations.
- Training and mentoring of new employees assigned to jobs.
- Tree trimming or route clearing.
- Use of care of specialized hand tools.
- Use and care of power equipment.
- Operating heavy equipment such as Digger and Bucket Truck.
- Represent Push, Inc. in a positive and professional manner always.
- Identify ways of continuous improvement of processes and procedures that will elevate the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of an apprenticeship program - including classroom and work hours, and attainment of electrical line workers journey level status.
- Work Experience: Two years of journey level work experience is preferred but not required.
- Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of electrical theory and the safety regulations and work methods associated with electrical line work.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL with manual transmission and no restrictions.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings.
- Must have a demonstrated knowledge of electricity, pole-line materials, and the proper and safe use of tools and equipment used in line construction and maintenance, know RUS Construction Specifications, and be familiar with the National Electric Safety Code.
- Hold a valid Journeyman certification.
- Ability to work in a team environment.

- Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Abide all company and manufacturer safety procedures and industry safety standards, in addition to attending mandatory safety meetings.
