Responsibilities
Analytics & Reporting
- Analyze benefits data to assess the effectiveness of benefits programs and provide insights for decision-making.
- Prepare and present ad-hoc reports on the utilization and cost of benefits programs.
- Perform periodic audits to ensure operational and data integrity across internal and external systems.
- Prepare submissions for various benchmarking surveys.
- Partner with vendors and internal team members to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, including scope analysis, proposed resolution, and communication.
- Identify and implement process changes for increased efficiency and improved employee experience.
- Develop and update benefits policies and procedures to ensure clarity, compliance, and efficiency.
- Apply insights from employee support cases and industry best practices to develop new benefits portal content to drive increased employee self-service.
- Serves as project manager on assigned projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Prepare submissions for various federal, state, and local compliance reporting such as 5500s, Non-Discrimination Testing, ACA, San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance, etc.
- Coordinate the distribution of annual and ad-hoc required disclosures and communications.
- Pay attention to federal, state, and local legislative changes affecting benefits and recommend program & policy adjustments as necessary.
- Handle benefits and wellbeing communication calendar.
- Assist in the development and deployment of regular and ad-hoc employee communications.
- Partner with Business Resource Groups (BRGs) and other stakeholders to deploy benefit events and initiatives (e.g., webinars, trainings, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in benefits administration and analysis, with progressive responsibility.
- Solid knowledge of US federal and state regulations governing employee benefit programs.
- Proficiency in benefits administration software and HRIS systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate and present benefits information to employees and management.
- Experience with data analytics and reporting with proven proficiency in data analysis tools, including Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving capabilities.
