PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:
Responsible for all financial closing responsibility related to assigned cost centers. (DCs or BWO support teams).
Responsible for the preparation of all budgets and estimates related to assigned cost centers.
Responsible for the preparation of all budget/estimate variance bridges related to assigned cost centers.
Responsible for the preparation & analysis of DC special services (VAS/Rework) activity and to ensure accurate charge back to the appropriate PVH division.
Analyze operating results on a monthly basis and make recommendation for cost savings.
Analyze and monitor all activity inputs (AP, Payroll, FA and JEs) to the Logistics GL to ensure all are accurate and appropriate.
Control and track CAPX spending as assigned.
Track and report volume levels on a monthly basis. Provide reporting to clearly show division and DC level results.
Ensure all accounting entries are made in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in the monthly closing process by preparing account analysis on various P&L and B/S account.
Prepare and distribute monthly financial results to management.
Prepare/assist in preparing schedules for audit, year-end and quarterly reviews.
Complete special projects for management as necessary.
INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:
Internal: All Divisional and Corp Accounting as well as operations personnel at
various levels from multiple departments (i.e. Accounts Payable, Real Estate, Import
Traffic, Strategic Services, Internal Audit, Information Technology, Customer Service,
Tax, etc.).
External: Outside Auditors & Vendors

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct: N/A
Indirect: This position will play a leadership role to assist operations personnel with questions, understanding of financial processes/results and provide help with learning the various systems used in the department.

DECISION MAKING:
Significant level of decision-making in relation to determining adjustments needed to properly state activity in accordance with GAAP.
RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:
Ability to understand how to use the various systems and programs in an effective and efficient manner. Identifying and taking initiative in implementation of process improvements and cost savings.
ENVIRONMENT:
Heavy workload required during key financial processes such as year-end, preparation of budgets and monthly close. These periods will require overtime.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Experience:
2-4 years accounting experience
Prior distribution accounting experience is preferred
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting - Required
Skills:
Strong PC Skills: (Excel, Word, Access, Powerpoint)
Able to perform in a fast paced environment managing multiple deadlines and prioritizing tasks
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of GAAP
Strong written and oral communication skills
Team player – a must
Able to see the “big picture” while working with the details
SAP Financial Systems and Essbase experience is a plus
