What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asst Controller PWC position at PWC Brand?
Duties & Responsibilities:
Some of your duties may include:
- Assist with month-end & year-end financial close procedures.
- Facilitate audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
- Maintain tax due date database.
- Assist with preparation of all tax returns including sales tax, business license, etc.
- Provide routine or as needed accounting support that contributes to the effective functioning of the Accounting/Finance Department
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Demonstrated skills in:
- Preparing and maintaining records.
- Applying applicable laws, rules, and regulations including federal, state & local tax.
- Communicating complex and detailed reports and information.
- Analyzing statistical and financial relationships in data.
- Preparing reports.
- Handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Utilizing computer technology used for communication, data gathering, and reporting.
- Communicating effectively through oral and written mediums.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Qualifications and Essential Functions:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 5 years of related experience. CPA is required.
Job functions require long periods of sitting and working from a computer workstation; ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize daily workload; excellent organization and record-keeping skills; comfortable with oral and written communications. Requires extended periods of sitting, normal walking, bending, twisting, and stretching. The capability of sight and hearing is required. Ability to deal with stressful situations and occasionally work extended hours. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
