What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Bookkeeper position at PWSEA?
A leading high-end Engineering & Architectural Firm based in Putnam County, NY seeks a part-time (20 hrs) Bookkeeper who possesses at least 5 years minimum experience in Construction Bookkeeping. In addition to a strong Accounting Construction background, the applicant must have experience in change order forms & processes, general ledger, and processing of monthly billing for various contracts. They must have the knowledge of progress billings, vendor payments, invoicing, payroll, material and subcontracting costs, and assist with preparation of weekly reports and monthly reconciling of monthly vendor statements.
Skills
- Proven construction bookkeeping experience
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and contemporary software (Excel & Quickbooks)
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Organized and able to function in a fast paced environment as part of a team and independently

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
