Job Description:

SAP Enterprise Architect will be responsible to manage and lead various initiatives in our SAP landscape. The scope of the work will include all aspects of infrastructure, database technologies, integration architecture and application layers. This role is expected to leverage his or her strong technical and business acumen to suggest new technologies, enhance existing technologies and serves as the subject matter expert.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Act as the advisor to leaders and help define or update the technology roadmap.

Review and approve designs from all large projects to ensure quality is in line with overall global strategic direction.

Prototype, review, sandbox, quality review, complex integration analysis

Ability to pitch the value proposition of new process or technology to the senior and executive leadership.

Ability to lead business and solution architecture workshops in transformation planning

Ensure vendor product implementations and upgrades are aligned to architecture vision, strategy, standards and principles

Participates/Leads vendor technology research, fit-evaluations, and POCs to ensure architecture alignment

Coordinate/collaborate across business and technical teams in developing mission, vision, outcomes and business-value of transformational initiatives for leadership review

Have the ability to jump into a project to as a member of configuration team: mentor, lead, design and configure solutions to meet the most complex business requirements leveraging current SAP solutions.

Keep up to date on the technology in the market and could evaluate new technology and recommend the right solution.

Work with the Project Management Office in defining project charter, scope & timelines.

COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

Expertise and enterprise architecture concepts and application

Experience with enterprise-grade e-Commerce platforms is desired

Enterprise & Solution Architecture experience is desired.

Ability to solution and communicate with functional and technical teams

Review solution designs, technical architectures to ensure alignment with architectural principles and goals, and to ensure that delivery conforms to solution designs; socialize the Business Capability Map to employees at all levels

Strong storytelling skills to breakdown complex technical information in layman’s terms ensuring clear, concise status reporting to organizational leaders and stakeholders that don’t necessarily have a technical background

Excellent oral communications, bringing thought, vision and strategy leadership with excellent presentation skills

Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones

Independently driven, resourceful, and able to deliver results with minimal directions

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business related field.

Minimum 10 years between SAP R3/ECC or S/4 HANA with implementation experience in a team environment. Of that, a minimum of 1 year in S/4 HANA.

Minimum 3 years’ experience leading and mentoring a functional team and managing complex SAP projects.

Integration experience with Non SAP and SAP environments

SAP Application expertise in SD, MM or Finance related area. Understanding the end to end processes.

Fiori knowledge

Courses or certificates in SAP R3/ECC or S/4 HANA

Minimum of 3 international implementations

Experience in Retail/Client/Hi-Tech industry is a plus

Implementation experience in architecting sites with multilingual and global payment service providers/gateways

Background in agile methodologies is highly valued.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels inside and outside of the organization.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT (if applicable)

Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.

Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business related machines and software.

Must be willing to travel up to 25 %
