What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Program Music Instructor position at Pyramid Inc.?
Pyramid Pensacola, an adult day training program, is seeking a music instructor to teach adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
The successful candidate will have functional skills in music and vocals, preferably fluent in keyboard and/or guitar, with the ability to share their knowledge with students. Theatre experience a plus! Experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities is helpful, but not required. Personal care is required with this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to play keyboard and/or guitar and read/perform music for accompaniment
- Successful criminal background check
- Successful drug test
- Valid driver's license

- Determining interests and abilities of students
- Willing to perform personal care for individuals as needed
Starting pay is $15.75 per hour. Benefits include group health insurance, paid time off.
Pyramid Pensacola is a nonprofit Adult Day Training Center that builds its program around the performing and visual arts. Its students have performed and exhibited around the state. It is one of five Pyramid programs in Florida.
