We are a virtual first company and your primary work experience will be virtual / working from your home. Occasional travel to a physical office may be required to enhance working relationships, collaboration, design, strategy and alignment.
QAD is looking for an early career Accounting Analyst with 2 years experience in accounting to join our Americas accounting group. This position will be responsible for providing accurate, consistent, timely and reliable financial information and analysis. You will report to the Americas Accounting Manager. This is a remote position with up to 10% travel.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with two years of accounting experience, and an understanding of GL processes and ERP systems. There is a strong preference for the selected candidate to work remotely out of the Pacific or Mountain time zones and a strong preference for bilingual Spanish skills.
What you’ll do:
Prepare and record asset, liability and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Includes tax, legal, professional fees, consulting, marketing and other services accruals at month-end. Performs standard month-end account reconciliations such as bank reconciliations, prepaids & deposits, intangibles and liabilities.
Prepare standardized project and account trend analyses and provide explanations for variances or trends.
Assist with testing and help enhance software functionality for system reports required for management, financial reporting and general ledger reconciliations.
Assist with annual external audit and management’s review questions. Complete requested materials. Assist in preparing assigned schedules for the annual and interim audit.
Prepare InterCompany load files for various activities such as cross charges, global services, personnel charges and interest.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organizations.
Contribute to department and organization special projects and other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/FinanceCertified Public Accountant certification is a plus.
Minimum of 1-3 years in accounting; public company experience preferred.
Strong research, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, able to multitask and meet deadlines in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge in the financial system and reporting tools (experience in ERP a plus).
Experience in Google Sheet and other Google Suite, Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of ERP systems, Blackline, and other reporting tools preferred.
Speaks and writes English & Spanish
