Shift Leader of Cell Equipment will direct several dozens of Technicians of each shift to perform maintenance of Solar Cell production equipment. Primary purpose of Shift Leader is to ensure the seamless operation and performance of all process equipment within production system. Shift Leader will be entrusted with overseeing a team of maintenance technicians, training them, and coordinating preventive maintenance activities. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance schedules, conducting thorough inspections of process equipment, and troubleshooting any equipment malfunction or safety issues.

Such actions not only include maintenance activities, but equipment conversion, labor management, and safety actions, etc. Shift Leader should be capable of understanding general mechanism of overall process equipment and will guide technicians to work in safe and effective manner throughout each shift. Main performance goals of Shift Leaders are breakage rate, equipment downtime, and equipment takt time, and Shift Leaders will play crucial role in assisting Team Leader and Equipment Engineers to fulfill these goals as a team.

Main Responsibilities
Main tasks of Cell Equipment Shift Leader should include but not limited to the following:
- Performance Review
- Production performance comparison to production goals
- Breakage performance comparison to breakage goals
- Solution finding for each process to improve declining performance
- Equipment Maintenance
- Equipment malfunctioning assessment to analyze causes of downtime and establish future counteractions.
- Production quality analysis to ensure Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP) has been appropriately implemented.
- Supervise scheduled corrective and preventive maintenance.
- Labor Management
- Assign and request number of technicians needed for each process
- Ensure safe and efficient workplace environment is provided to Process Leaders and Technicians including tools, training, or relations.
- Spare Parts
- Manage inventory of spare parts and request purchase order based on safety stock of each part.
- Keep track of on-going purchase and delivery of spare parts for each process equipment.
- Safety
- Execute appropriate countermeasures to critical maintenance or safety issues.
- Safety issue assessment to evaluate response actions and possible improvements.
- Ensure safety training and documents are periodically updated according to QCELLS standards.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
General tasks of Cell Equipment Shift Leader should include but not limited to the following:
- Conduct roles and responsibilities of Process Leader in vacancy.
- Collaborate with other members of the Cell Equipment Team and relevant departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure a holistic approach to facility management.
- Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations of Hanwha QCELLS.
- Responsible to respond to factory in an emergency of all environmental failures, powers, water, fires, or security issues when needed.
- Able to communicate with all levels of organization. i.e. operations personnel and supervisors, engineering and management staff, state and local inspectors, and outside contractors.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
- Regularly report to Shift leader of operation technician on operation progress and issues.
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a similar manufacturing or related industry.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of technicians.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing codes and building codes.
- Proficient in mechanical systems and utilities within a similar industry
- Relevant Certificate (Preferred)
- Relevant certifications are preferred and will be considered a plus
- Regulatory Compliance (Preferred):
- In-depth knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to manufacturing factory
- Experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Fluency in Korean is Preferred
