TITLE: Vendor, Contract, & Procurement Specialist DEPARTMENT: QCRH Office of the CIO

Dept., Information Technology

LOCATION: Brady St, Davenport REPORTS TO: IT Vendor and Contract Management Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

The Vendor Contract & Procurement Specialist acts as the key point of contact for execution of procurement requests, new vendor requests and assists with the coordination of contract management activities. This position will bring current knowledge of VM activities including but not limited to vendor onboarding, Procure-to-Pay processes and workflow, sourcing, e-procurement, order management, buying and invoicing. As a key member of the VM Team this role works closely with the Vendor and Contract Management officer to contribute to execution of the enterprise-wide strategy. This role will also entail contributing to the development of the enterprise-wide strategy that is responsible for ensuring VM is fully aligned to deliver compelling and cost-effective business value while continuously improving the QCRH Employee and Client experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Builds successful stakeholder relationships with IT and business leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring cost-effective acquisition of procurement requests and services to meet those needs
  • Use procurement tools and systems to create operational efficiency and visibility across the enterprise
  • Assist in resolving supplier related issues i.e., quality, delivery, shipping/receiving and/or invoice discrepancies assuring proper communication occurs
  • Coordinate new vendor or service(s) onboarding
  • Work closely with IT Finance and AP to ensure invoices are approved and coded appropriately
  • Assist stakeholders in improving and managing inventory plans to achieve inventory /asset management and material flow goals
  • Manage ticket requests assigned to vendor management
  • Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities and support the implementation of operational improvement initiatives for vendor, contract and procurement management
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of customer segments and customer needs
  • Support internal business partners on adhering to VM processes and procedures including but not limited to risk, audit, compliance and security departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Degree or certification in procurement, vendor, and contract management highly desired

2. 5 years in the purchasing field (background in IT purchasing is a plus)

3. Ability to work both within a team environment as well as independently

4. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change

6. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
