QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting for an Action Officer to join our team on Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD to support our customer, PD Aerostats.
Duties:
- Provide onsite direct support to a DoD client, serving as a staff action officer for the Product Director.
- Perform and maintain support functions, including monitoring, triaging, and responding to all incoming and outgoing taskings, as appropriate.
- Coordinate responses and perform quality control and assurance prior to senior management review.
- Draft, proofread, and edit internal and external correspondence.
- Serve as a highly visible, client-facing Action Officer in support of a multi-million-dollar persistence surveillance program with more than 50 government and contractor personnel.
- Ensure critical information is disseminated to internal and external entities, as appropriate.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience with managing multiple competing deadlines and priorities, including rapid-response and triage workflows.
- Experience with operating willingly and instinctively across multiple lanes in support of evolving team needs and broader team mission.
- Experience with staffing, briefing, and preparing senior DoD leaders for high-visibility interagency engagements.
- Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with working in access-controlled, classified, and fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of DoD organizational structure and strategy.
- Ability to adapt quickly to anticipate principal and broader team needs and expectations, including with limited or no explicit direction, guidance, or defined deliverable requirements.
Required Clearance:
- ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Secret
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19, per Executive Order 14042, subject to exemptions as required by law.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
Travel:
Less than 10% travel is expected for this position.
Work Environment:
This position will be co-located with customer and other contractors in Government office spaces.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands of this position include ability to:
- Be independently mobile.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
- Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
- Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face masks (in response to government COVID-19 mandates).

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours.
