What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer 2 position at QI?
● Interviews subject matter experts, gathers and analyzes technical information from different sources to generate in-depth and comprehensive technical documentation.
● Validates the presentation standard of technical document produced by Developers.
● Maintains a technical environment by creating realistic technical operations and maybe by exercising complex configuration options available via GUI or configuration file and observing the effects on the system.
● Reports any potential functional or technical bug met during the writing process in the dedicated tool.
● Maintains current technical knowledge of products.
● Participates actively in project meetings, follows-up future technical changes.
● Evaluates and makes recommendations on new tools or techniques.
● As a Technical Expert, answers any technical question from internal teams on existing or new versions: analyzes the request, compares with baseline environment, identifies potential causes, seeks for information from other teams, summarizes and structures a solution/answer with relevant examples, updates documentation (if required).
● Complies with the current processes, methodology and conventions of the team.
● Provides regular reporting on documentation projects to the manager.
