Position Overview
QinetiQ US seeks a collaborative and highly motivated consultant with a demonstrated track record of successfully contributing to diverse and multifunctional teams supporting senior federal decisionmakers. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic solutions to clients in a fast-paced headquarters environment. The primary workstreams include program management, strategic planning and execution, data management solutions, and strategic advisory services. Although we will consider candidates from outside the immediate space, a background in federal data transformation and management, national security, federal law enforcement, Congressional engagement, or similar areas are strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level advisory support on a range of topics ranging from executing strategic communications and stakeholder engagement to policy, process, and protocol management efficiencies under quick deadlines.
- Oversee the overall flow of work for the team while working closely with both federal and contract staff in furtherance of strategic priorities identified by senior executive management.
- Develop and manage data transformation initiatives for a disparate and fluid organization.
- Anticipate project needs and plan accordingly to deconflict and organize project priorities.
- Identify, plan, recommend, and implement solutions that improve efficiencies for internal processes.
- Adapt and work in a fluid and dynamic environment with an eye for capturing short- and long-term goals.
- Manage and report project requirements and deadlines on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to the client and COR as appropriate.
- Work closely with members of a diverse team to grow their skillsets and careers.
- Identify opportunities to introduce QinetiQ solutions to address dynamic client challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Progressively responsible experience supporting federal government leaders.
- A high level of responsiveness and attention to detail.

- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience and skills creating a supportive, collaborative and positive team environment where all team members feel valued and respected.
- Previous experience in data technology solutions or federal management consulting as well as national security or homeland security, strategic communications, Congressional engagement, immigration policy, law, human resource management and employee engagement, or a related field.
- Possess a two to eight years of work experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or two to six years of work experience and a Master’s degree.
- Ability to maintain a security clearance from the U.S. government.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading organizations through transformation, and desire to engage with and solve novel challenges.
- Experience working with government contracting officers to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
- Experience managing monthly status reports on projects; setting and maintaining deadlines for project deliverables to clients.
- Experience setting and managing client relationships and expectations, and ability to do effectively so in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
- Experience effectively communicating with team, client, and company stakeholders.
- Experience navigating and mitigating risks associated with project management (resources, scope, schedule).
- Ability to act as a servant leader - willingness to step in and provide support wherever needed regardless of the task in support of the team and team goals.
- Ability to set priorities, plan, and organize tasks and deliverables as needs evolve.
- Experience instituting quality controls.
